Law was a natural fit for Steve’s competitive nature. He likes to win, he likes structure, and he believes in the system. His practice began in Little Rock in the early 90’s and over his 15 years there, he steadily gravitated to more and more family law. When the chance came to relocate to Northwest Arkansas in the fall of 2007, his wife, June, and his children, Alex and Emily, helped him close his private practice and he moved into our family law division, focusing exclusively on helping families in this difficult area.
Life Outside the Office
One could say that the Steve and his wife and two children enjoy the outdoors together, especially fishing. It is actually more accurate to say that Steve and the kids can be absorbed in the sport while June is regally curled up with a good book, giving the required enthusiastic comment now and then.
Steve is passionate about cooking and his flair for artfully prepared Asian food is a treat for his family. After a meal, it is common that a board game becomes their focus, with the favorite being “Settlers of Cataan.” Steve admits that Alex is the more frequent winner, and his competitive skills also extend to video games where he usually trounces his father.
As a graduate of University of Arkansas, Steve’s love of the Razorbacks is shared by his family and they enjoy cheering on the home team. Our clients sometimes find his hog-themed decorating scheme amusing but Steve knows his team will be ranked #1 someday and he’ll be able to call the hogs to victory.
