Born in Minot, North Dakota, Tara Putnam has cultivated a legal career defined by her unwavering commitment to justice, her passion for knowledge, and her dedication to helping others. Known for her thoughtful approach and steadfast advocacy, Tara combines expertise and empathy to guide her clients through complex legal challenges.
Tara graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1998 and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 2003. After an early role as an assistant manager at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., Tara recognized her true calling—resolving conflicts and supporting others through the practice of law. Passing the Arkansas Bar in 2005, she has since provided exceptional legal services across the state, always striving to achieve the best possible outcomes for her clients.
Tara’s academic foundation in history, combined with her legal training, equips her with a unique ability to analyze intricate cases and provide clients with clear, actionable guidance. She excels at breaking down legal complexities into practical terms, empowering her clients to make informed and confident decisions. This approach reflects her belief that knowledge is power and that every client deserves both clarity and compassion in their legal journey.
Tara’s dedication to giving back to the community began early. As a high school student, she served as a candy striper at St. Mary’s, which inspired her lifelong commitment to service. During her undergraduate years, as a member of the Tri Delta sorority, she furthered this passion by volunteering with the Arkansas Administrative Office of the Courts, coordinating state judicial education programs. This early experience shaped her understanding of public service and the law's potential to positively impact communities. Today, Tara continues to give back as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Washington County League of Women Voters, promoting civic engagement and education.
Beyond her professional life, Tara finds joy and renewal in the outdoors, whether gardening in the early morning quiet, hiking Arkansas’s scenic trails with her loyal companion Sage, or floating down rivers to connect with nature’s peace. Her strong faith and spiritual grounding shape her approach to her work and life, guided by the Bible scripture she clings to:
"Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the Lord, "and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you," declares the Lord, "and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile." — Jeremiah 29:12-15
This passage reflects Tara’s steadfast faith in seeking guidance, finding strength, and remaining committed to her purpose.
